長大な空間にLEDライトで演出をした、インスタレーション個人作品。
モニターを写したビデオカメラの映像にさらにモニターに写すと、小さい画像の中にさらに小さい画像が表示される。つまり繰り返しによる合わせ鏡のような無限ループの視覚効果がうまれる。通常メディアでは放送事故として扱われるこの現象は、ドロステ効果と呼ばれている。人間の肉眼では三次元(縦、横、奥行き)で表現されるが、カメラを通すと二次元(縦、横)に下位変換される。しかし、このドロステ効果による映像は、少しだけ過去の姿を反復している。無限ループのフラクタルな奥行きは、ディスプレイという二次元空間に三次元となり、奥行きは過去の時間軸として四次元として転換されている。その立体的構造を、LEDライトをつけたフレームを30mにわたって配置し、制御を行うことで表現した。

When a video camera captures an image of a monitor, and that monitor image is then displayed on another monitor, a smaller image appears within the smaller image. This creates a visual effect of an infinite loop, like a series of nested mirrors. This phenomenon, typically treated as a broadcast glitch in conventional media, is known as the Droste effect. While the human eye perceives three dimensions (height, width, depth), the camera downconverts this to two dimensions (height, width). However, the images created by this Droste effect slightly repeat a past state. The fractal depth of this infinite loop transforms into a three-dimensional space within the two-dimensional display, with depth converting into a fourth dimension representing the past timeline. This three-dimensional structure was expressed by arranging LED-lit frames over a 30-meter span and controlling them.
