2025年4月、TAKANAWA GATEWAY CITYに新本社を構えたKDDI株式会社の6Fレセプションエリアに映像インスタレーションを担当。
コンセプトは「Connecting（つなぐ）」。KDDI株式会社は創業以来、様々なものをつなぎ続けてきた。無線通信で日本国内の都市をつなぎ、光ファイバーで遠く離れた国々をつなぎ、移動体通信で人と人との距離を縮めてきた。そしてこれからも、現実とバーチャルをつなぎ、衛星インターネット経由で地球と宇宙をつなぐ。つなぐとは距離を縮めること。この意義を可視化・具現化を目指した。レセプションエリアの特性を踏まえ、従業員や来訪者といった通行人を考慮し、普遍的なメッセージをアニメーションで伝えつつも、可変的でインタラクティブなリアルタイムコンテンツを交互に展開した。
In April 2025, we were responsible for the video installation in the 6th floor reception area of KDDI Corporation's new headquarters at TAKANAWA GATEWAY CITY.
The concept is “Connecting.” KDDI Corporation has connected various things since its inception. Through wireless communications, it connected cities within Japan; through optical fiber, it connected distant countries; and through mobile communications, it brought people closer together. It connects the real and virtual worlds through virtual spaces like the metaverse, and links Earth and space via satellite internet. Connecting means bridging distances. We aimed to create content that visualizes and embodies this significance. Considering the reception area's function and the characteristics of its passersby—employees and visitors—we alternated interactive, real-time content that remains engaging while presenting a universal message.
